My modern teacher has brought us in live accompaniment for our last 3 modern classes and one of the drummers said something tonight that really inspired me. He wanted to take a picture with us because he is in charge of a summer music program much like the dance program weve all been a part of for the last 3 weeks. He said he really loved what we were doing here because there were not many programs out there like ours and that it was so important that people keep creating things, creating art. It made me really proud to be a dancer and reaffirmed that what I do is worthwhile, that performing is worthwhile. Its nice to know there are other people that believe it too.
